To educate and increase the public's understanding of the environment, its importance and our relationship to it. We motivate individuals to examine and transform their personal values and habits; to accept responsibility for the earth; and to act on that commitment.

We are a registered not-for-profit Canadian charity located in Victoria, BC. We take a fun, personally meaningful and inclusive approach to environmental awareness and protection. CEI is currently helping the Scia’new band (Beecher Bay) build a moveable cob oven on a trailer that they will use for community events and fundraising. The Canadian Earth Institute is an International Representative of the Sister Earth Institute Network of the Northwest Earth Institute. We have a earth-centered ethic promoting the power of individual responsibility for the earth.
