To improve and develop impact assessment systems that respond to the needs of the Microfinance institution, their clients and other stakeholders, and in doing so to improve the quality of microfinance services and their impact on poverty.

The Imp-Act Consortium works to make microfinance more effective in reducing poverty and other social goals by supporting and promoting Social Performance Management (SPM). As social businesses, MFIs apply commercial means to achieve social ends. Our experience demonstrates that effective performance management requires a social and financial perspective, and that SPM is good for clients and for business.
