| Research/Dev
The Friendship Force of Nashik is part of a worldwide network of clubs of Friendship Force International, an organization that advances the mission of promoting global understanding across barriers that separate people. FFI is involved in connecting people from different countries at the personal level. When local hosts open their homes to visitors from other countries and cultures, true understanding can develop through the sharing of meals, conversation and the routines of daily life. Since its founding in 1977, FFI has brought together millions of people. In 2007 alone, over 5000 friendship ambassadors traveled to 58 countries, with thousands more serving as hosts. The Friendship Force of Nashik has come into existence due to sustained initiative of Dr. C. R. Pardeshi, MD, who along with his friends took exhaustive efforts to start the club in Nashik. The Friendship Force of Nashik is at present one of the most active clubs and has members of age group 40 to 50 years. The Friendship Force of Nashik is the first and only club in India which is actively involved in cultural exchanges under programs of The Friendship Force International.
