The Rafto Foundation is a non-profit and non-partisan organisation dedicated to the global promotion of human rights. We present the annual Rafto Prize for human rights work and follow up projects concerning the Rafto Laureates. We also organise educational projects that promote human rights. The most important task of the Rafto Foundation is the annual award of the Rafto Prize. The Rafto Foundation also runs various projects relating to human rights issues in the countries of former Rafto Prize Laureates. We also focus on information and education activities.
