More information
Lord Somers, when Governor of Victoria, initiated the annual camp which bears his name at Anglesea in 1929. The original concept of running camps which bring together youth from all walks of life to develop greater tolerance and understanding as inspired by the Duke of York has been retained and remains a major objective of the Lord Somers Camp and Power House organisation. Lord Somers Camp and Power House offers a range of camps catering to varying parts of the community. All camps are staffed and run by volunteers who freely donate their time and talents to provide a once in a lifetime experience for all participants.
