ADRA works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action.

ADRA Canada is part of the ADRA international network operating in approximately 120 countries and usually partners with approximately 20 ADRA country offices with development projects. Through its established partners, ADRA Canada also supports community service projects in Canada every year. ADRA Canada also partners with ADRA offices around the world to support disaster responses. We recognize the dignity that is inherent in each person and are committed to improving the quality of human life. We serve people without regard to their ethnic, political, or religious association, helping those in need, especially those most vulnerable such as women and children. As one of the leading non-governmental relief and development organizations in the world, the Agency was granted General Consultative Status by the United Nations in 1997.
