Soleterre ONLUS is a non-profit humanitarian association working both in Italy and abroad to ensure that people's inviolable rights are upheld. Using its own staff, it provides health and education services and food, mainly to children and women in conditions of desperate poverty. The association seeks to promote a culture of peace and the duty to intervene in order to uphold human rights, so as to allow every single person to live their lives in the best conditions possible. It works mainly in countries that are a source of strong migration towards Italy, with long-term projects aimed at social development and co-development, collaborating with immigrant communities in Italy. Thus the association's aim is to promote social and economic justice, and to combat and eradicate the social, cultural, political and economic dynamics that create and fuel discrimination, exclusion and exploitation.
