The The Better World Fund was created in 1998 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner. The Better World Fund builds and implements public-private partnerships to address the world's most pressing problems, and works to broaden support for the UN through advocacy and public outreach. The Better World Fund is governed by a small and cohesive Board of Directors who share a commitment to the goals and objectives of the UN Charter and the UN's work on behalf of economic, social, environmental and humanitarian causes.
