More information
The Hill School was founded in 1851 by the Rev. Matthew Meigs as the "Family Boarding School for Boys and Young Men." and was the first of its kind in America. The Hill may be distinguished from other college preparatory schools by its commitment to sustaining an ideal "family" learning environment. The Hill was the first school in the country to have students live with faculty in their campus home away from home. The challenging curriculum provided to Hill's 494 students (forms 3-6/ grades 9-12 and postgraduate) emphasizes critical thinking and writing and offers 23 Advanced Placement courses as well as an array of honors classes and independent studies.
