Help Hospitalized Veterans' mission is to provide veteran patients of Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and military facilities with activities that keep their hands active and their minds alert while assisting in their recoveries.

Help Hospitalized Veterans (HHV) is a national, non-profit organization established for the purpose of distributing therapeutic arts & crafts kits, free of charge, to patients receiving care at Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers, state nursing homes for veterans and military hospitals. HHV also encourages volunteerism and pen-pal relationships with hospitalized veterans. "Medicine that doesn't come in a bottle." From all reports by hospital directors, occupational therapists, nurses and the patients themselves, HHV's craft kits do wonders to alleviate the #1 problem of every hospital stay - patient boredom. Boredom which manifests itself with endless hours of TV watching and daytime sleeping.
