We work with African communities, understanding their heritage, values and customs, and do not seek to impose European or Western styles of charitable assistance where this might cause long term cultural conflicts.

TAO has since 1995 focussed on the delivery of aid projects funded by European and Australian donor organisations. We work only on projects which allow orphans, and the families who care for them, to remain in their local enviroment. We understand the basic African spirit of community and family land ownership and do not seek to displace children or villages. As part of our programme of expansion we aim to recruit a team of 'TAO Volunteers' who we hope will be willing to dedicate their time, skills and commitment on an ad-hoc basis to assist us with fund-raising and administrative projects.
