Our project explore how people have travelled from one country to another taking their music and culture with them, to preserve their identity and share it with others. Throughout history there has been continual migration of people between continents and as people have moved around the world they have used music to transcend language differences in their communication. The trade routes between Europe, Africa and the Americas have produced an extraordinary musical legacy that provides the foundation of contemporary music making and is the subject of DNA Cultures “Triangle” project.
