Caritas Care is a long established Charity in the North West of England. Established in 1934, ten years after the birth of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lancaster, Caritas Care was originally a child care agency. After a major review of social care activities in the Diocese of Lancaster, the charity's governing document was amended in 1987 to establish a broader based range of services beyond child care.
