More information
The Wildaid Foundation Trust (Wildaid) is a charity registered in England and Wales (registered charity No. 1001595). It was set up in 1990 with the name Staffordshire Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre by Jonathon Hodges and his family to rescue, care for and rehabilitate animals in need. Originally the organisation ran a wildlife hospital and sanctuary for rescued zoo animals based in the Churnet Valley, near Stoke-on-Trent. In 1997 the charity’s name was changed to Wildaid and and we started supporting the work of other groups through a grant-making programme called Wildaid Challenge.
