KiDS was born with a desire to help these learners to attend good schools by offering individual scholarships to scholars with a will and the potential to succeed not only academically but in all areas of achievement.

The KiDS Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation based in Cape Town, South Africa. It was established in 1994, by businessman Ian Kilbride and retired educator Tessa Smit. By providing young people from financially disadvantaged backgrounds with educational opportunities, The KiDS Foundation is enabling future generations of South Africans access to the tools needed to meet the demands of the workplaces of tomorrow.
