Our mission is to conserve the natural and cultural heritage and distinctive landscapes of the Kawartha bioregion.

The Kawartha Heritage Conservancy is a regional charitable land trust based in Peterborough, Ontario. The Conservancy is a community-based organization learning from and contributing to community knowledge. We engage in research and proven scientific practices. It is our goal to understand our past relationships to, and ensure our sustainable future with, the land, the people and the features of the Kawartha bioregion. Financial support for our work is provided through grants from charitable foundations and others, fee-for-service activities, and individual donations.
