A Glimmer of Hope's mission is truly a heartfelt one: To help the rural poor of Ethiopia lift themselves out of poverty and offer them a hand up rather than a hand out. Yet it understands the best way to achieve this is to operate entrepreneurially and expect results from its social investments.

The foundation's principles reflect the belief that justice, equality and dignity are everyone's birthright and where you are born should not determine whether you live or die.
