The Swiss Foundation of the International Social Service (SSI), an NGO founded in 1932, is the Swiss chapter of an internationally active social service organization with branches in over 140 countries. SSI provides help on a transnational scale to children and families facing social and/or legal problems. Ever since the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was signed it has been one of our main goals to translate the spirit of the UCRC into support for children who live under difficult conditions in places far away from their country of origin.
