The Vietnamese Mental Health Services(VMHS)was established in 1989, following a 2 year research (1987-89) on mental health problems amongst refugees from Vietnam resettled in London. Since then, the Project has developed to its present stage, employed 8 workers, providing services to people from Vietnam with mental health difficulties and their families living in the UK. Its aims are to promote interest and raise the profile; share experience and support the refugees from Vietnam in the UK. We work in partnership with mainstream health/social care and other agencies to provide treatment, care and support to Vietnamese users and their families and in our Drop-in Day centres we offer counselling services.
