Surdhwani based in Wolverhampton is a registered charity and was formed in February 1987 to promote the best of Indian Classical Music & Dance. It was registered as a limited liability company in December 2003. It is dedicated to promoting South Asian Arts and Culture through concerts, lecture demonstrations, workshops and the like on Indian classical music and dance. It strives to achieve its aims and objectives by inviting artists of outstanding calibre from UK and abroad. It also runs a music and dance classes in vocal, tabla and Kathak dance. Besides, it also works in partnership with other organisations such as schools, colleges and universities or the like in organising tester shows called Raga & Rhythm and workshops on Indian classical music and dance.
