More information
icap recognises that most people at some point in life may benefit from professional help. Yet many people do not access the necessary psychotherapy they require for a variety of reasons such as financial, social stigma, fear of meeting with cultural ignorance, racism or insensitivity. icap offers approximately 326 people psychotherapy on a weekly basis. The issues explored in therapy are as complex as the individual. icap's therapists are highly qualified, accredited, avail of weekly supervision and ongoing training. Many of the clinicians specialise in trauma and abuse, whether it is physical sexual or emotional, or all three. Clients take as long as is necessary to process the painful issues that have often crippled their lives. icap is primarily committed to providing a service that caters specifically for those from immigrant communities particularly the Irish community.
