More information
Through research and education, the Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP) promotes numerous programs, including Students on Sobriety (S.O.S), which educates teens about the legal, financial and human costs of drinking and driving. The law enforcement speakers bureau officials visit high schools to deliver the message of the dangers and penalties of drinking and driving. With our Project SafeKids Program we offer free child identification CD-ROMs to concerned parents at local community events. The “Amber Alert” compatible CDs contain the child’s fingerprints and current photo and are given to the parents for safekeeping in case of an emergency. The Amber Alert System is active in all 50 states and used by a majority of law enforcement agencies for missing children reports. We offer a scholarship for students interested in pursuing a career in Public Safety and all of its related fields — Law Enforcement, Police-Fire Dispatch, Corrections Officer, Firefighting or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).
