Crane (Care for the Rural Alienated and Network of Educational Society) came into existence on 24th November1998, after eight years (1992-1998) of evolution at the remote villages of kancheepuram District, in the State of Tamil Nadu, India.
The daily life experience with the poor people at the remote villages was the inspiration for the origin of Crane. The poor life of the rural people. Utter poverty, employment, lack of basic amenities, over population, etc., are the realities of villages. There are about 17,273 villages that exist in Tamil Nadu alone and 80% of the total Indian Population lives in villages.
Hence, the growth and development of villages alone will play a major part in contributing for the better India.In this process, each and every village has to be taken care in a very special manner, for the holistic growth and development.
