World Medical Fund is registered as a charity with the Charity Commissioners for England and Wales and World Medical Fund USA is registered as a non-profit with the United States of America Inland Revenue. Its activities and executives are overseen by a board of Director/Trustees. The organisation operates as an international NGO (Non Governmental Organisation) and is a signatory to the Red Cross and Red Crescent Code of Conduct in Disaster Relief and is a fully-registered medical facility with the Malawi Medical Council. Every day we save young lives and ease suffering by making medical care available for the first time to village children; our practical and cost-effective programme is treating over 30,000 every year. We are also successfully treating children suffering from AIDS, reducing the incidence of mother to child transmission of the HIV virus and ensuring that history does not repeat itself by giving HIV/AIDS education.
