More information
ANIDAN is an NGO, founded by Rafael Selas, to care for the needs of young children in Kenya. On the island of Lamu, off the northern coast, he has a Shelter where he houses one hundred children but feeds, dresses, cares for and educates over two hundred. Since March 2008, in collaboration with the Pablo Horstmann Foundation, he runs a pediatric hospital which sees 80 patients a day and plans to distribute 15,000 child sanitary cards for free medical attention. In Spain, a group of volunteers handles the monitoring, administration, diffusion, promotion and fundraising. They are all professionals who also generously handle the needs regarding legal advice, building design, writing or composition of texts, which is why over 90% of the contributions are sent to Kenya to be used for the children, the Shelter, the hospital and the aid programs.
