The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation is the nation's oldest and largest need-based scholarship organization supporting U.S. military families. Since 1962, the Foundation has provided 25,000 scholarships valued at more than $60 million, including $4,250,000 to more than 1,400 students for the 2010-2011 academic year. The Scholarship Foundation is proud to have been named by Independent Charities of America as ‘Best in America’ for demonstrating "the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness."
