Leukaemia Care
United Kingdom
| Health/Medical
From humble beginnings as a support group set up some 40 years ago over a kitchen table in Amersham, Buckinghamshire by a group of parents of children with leukaemia, Leukaemia CARE went on to be a registered Charity in 1969 and has now grown to become a national charity working with a professional and caring team of employees, trustees and volunteers. The incidence and prevalence of blood cancers has increased over the years, being the 5th most common type of cancer in the UK, and Leukaemia CARE has therefore developed and expanded an impressive range of services to help address the needs of our patients and their families to provide practical care and support in every way we can.
