There are 45 million blind people worldwide - mostly in developing countries. The Community Eye Health Journal is a free, quarterly magazine that gives doctors and nurses practical information and inspiration to help them prevent and treat blindness in the poorest communities. The Community Eye Health Journal is published by the International Centre for Eye Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. It addresses the elimination of avoidable blindness and focuses on countries where the burden of preventable blindness is greatest.
