Since 1997, Calgary Youth Justice Committee volunteers have been providing an alternative to court for young people who have committed a less serious crime. Over the last eleven years nearly 9,000 youth have been supported by their community in accepting responsibility for their behaviour, setting them on paths to making better decisions in the future.
