The Brown Nurses Ministry is committed to the service of people who are unable to access health care and welfare support. These are people who are disadvantaged, marginalised and often live in impoverished circumstances. They are people who suffer mental illness, the long-term consequences of drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness and dysfunctional families. The service provides an integrated holistic model of case management to enable the person to remain at home and to live with a reasonable degree of dignity and security. Our in-home carers supervise the person's health status and personal care. They offer domestic support and financial management, if required.
