More information
apia is an association for the protection of children and teenagers in Latin America. apia supports sustainable relief & development projects Argentina, Ecuador, Columbia, Mexico and Peru. We finance sustainable projects that have long term perspectives, and we support and promote initiatives that benefit street children and handicapped children from poor areas. The current projects support over 3000 children and adolescents. In addition, over 450 families and 110 persons benefit from micro credit. The association counts 270 members. apia supports different projects in Latin America, our supported projects are in the areas of education, prevention and direct help. We promote initiatives that have the goal of improving quality of life and have a lasting impact on the weakest within society. Central to this is school teaching and professional training, as well as projects that deal with social and education issues. We financially supports organisations that care for street children, working children and look after their social environment. What is most important is to protect them from exploitation and to assist in their social integration. Next to supporting education projects for children and adolescents, apia also supports initiatives that assist the training of and further education of teachers, carers and parents.
