The Canadian International Learning Foundation (CanILF) is an Ottawa-based, volunteer-run charity which provides and promotes employment-oriented education in areas of the world affected by poverty, war and disease epidemics. The Learning Foundation provides financial and administrative support to a school in Kandahar (the Afghan-Canadian Community Center) as part of our Afghan School Project (ASP). Through the Afghan School Project, we have helped hundreds of students obtain high-paying employment that allows them to provide a living for themselves and their families while participating in the reconstruction of Afghanistan. The Learning Foundation also provides support to St. Paul’s Kabira Adult Attention and School of Orphans (KAASO) via the Uganda Literacy and Education Program (ULEP). KAASO is a primary school, orphanage, and adult education centre in the rural district of Rakai, Uganda.
