Supporting compassionate care for our community by raising funds for health care and medical research programs at the Mater.

For more than 100 years the Mater has been committed to providing compassionate health care to all Queenslanders with an emphasis on the values of dignity, mercy, care, commitment and quality. The Mater Foundation is the philanthropic and community arm of Mater Health Services and the Mater Medical Research Institute. Donations to the Foundation help purchase life-saving medical equipment, improve patient care and ensure our world-renowned research team continues to find better ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately cure life-threatening diseases. The Mater Hospitals were established by the Sisters of Mercy in Brisbane in 1906 and now care for more than half a million babies, children and adults each year. Mater Foundation has touched the lives of generations of Queenslanders - by supporting clinical programs, education and training, research, equipment and mission activities at Mater Hospitals and the Mater Medical Research Institute.
