More information
The Blue Card is an exceptional and unique national non-profit organization that was founded in 1934 in Germany to help Jews who were fleeing from that country. The organization got its unusual name from the original blue cards that were issued. Each time a donation was made, a stamp was put on the card to keep a record. When many Jewish community funds are moving toward memorials for the Holocaust, education programs, and other causes altogether, The Blue Card has only one mission; to get much-needed funds either on an emergency basis or as an ongoing stipend to needy Holocaust survivors often with no surviving family. To date, we have provided over 18 million dollars to thousands upon thousands of survivors and their families. The Blue Card provides help and comfort to many people from many countries. Every story is unique and yet they all have a great need, which stretches beyond the traditional safety nets.
