More information
Egmont, a UK charitable trust established in 2005, has worked with over 50 partner organisations in Southern and Eastern Africa. We recognize that the impact of HIV & AIDS on children is magnified by family breakdown, loss of education and lack of food security. Through rigorous selection of partners who are achieving tangible results, our aim is to improve tens of thousands of young lives affected by this epidemic. Egmont Trust's strategy is rare: we support a portfolio of over 50 grassroots, locally inspired initiatives that we have seen can change lives; and operate in an unbureaucratic, low-cost manner. Our Projects are driven by the energy, knowledge, experience, creativity and commitment of those directly affected are the most successful and cost-effective. We believe that it is possible to make a genuine difference quickly with small amounts of money, a good accountability and management.
