Kids Kidney Research (previously know as the Kidney Research Aid Fund, KRAF) was set up by a group of people who had friends and family with kidney disorders. Although they were all adults with kidney disease, they decided to support paediatric kidney research since many would not have been in the position they were in had their conditions been treated in childhood. 30 years on we are still all volunteers and on average over 97% of all funds received annually go directly to the cause. We are one of the leading paediatric charities supporting kidney and urological research helping to find cures and improve remedial care. Kidney disease is debilitating at any time. When it involves babies and children, families suffer too. We support vital kidney research to explore new therapies which can potentially heal damaged kidneys and try to find the faulty genes which can run in families and cause kidney diseases.
