More information
For nearly sixty years the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) has worked locally and nationally rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals. The ISPCA has continued to develop its facilities and staff functions in order to fulfil its core function, the rescue, rehabilitation and responsible rehoming of cruelly treated and neglected animals. As a registered Irish Charity (CHY 5619) the cost of running the National Animal Centre and Inspectorate is met through legacies, donations from the public and fundraising events. With the exception of two grants, one from the Department of Agriculture and Food and one from the Department of the Environment, we receive no other funding from the Government.
