The Environmental Awareness Group (EAG) is a national, voluntary, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization.

Members of the Historical and Archaeological Society (HAS), a support group of the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda had concerns about the pressures on Antigua- Barbuda's natural environment. On June 9, 1988, the Museum hosted a meeting on environmental issues, highlighting environmental abuse in Antigua-Barbuda. The group joined the Caribbean Conservation Association to promote greater awareness in the Caribbean of the importance of environmental conservation. Subsequent meetings held by members of HAS led to the creation of the Concerned Citizens Conservation Committee, and in 1989 this was formally constituted as an organisation under the Friendly Societies Act and renamed the EAG, the oldest, largest, and most collaborative organization in the nation whose purpose is to promote and protect the local environment through education, outreach, hands on programs, and awareness.
